The Chemung Basin River Trail covers nearly eighty miles in the Chemung Basin. The Chemung River is formed by the confluence of the Tioga, Canisteo and Cohocton Rivers and joins the Susquehanna River at Sayre, Pennsylvania. Read about the rich history of the River Basin.
There are presently fourteen boat launch sites located along the River Trail. The Trail is part of the Chesapeake Bay Gateways Network and serves as an entry point to the 64,000 square mile Chesapeake Bay watershed.
The River Trail Guide was developed as part of the Chesapeake Bay Network of river trails and gateways. The guide covers the Chemung River in Steuben and Chemung Counties.
