The CBRTP works to make the river accessible and safer for everyone. The Partnership, supported by Chesapeake Bay Gateways Network, has built a corridor of user-friendly launch sites. And....the work continues! Click on one of the launch site push-pins on the map below for detailed information about each site including river levels and local attractions.

Take exit 39
Left at the bottom of the exit ramp
Pass under Route 17/I-86
The dirt access road is on the left
The access road is quite long

Local Attractions:

Mossy Bank Park and Nature Center - Rt. 10 in Bath - offers trails for hiking and cross-country skiing

Babcock Hollow Campground offers over 90 campsites with electricity. Showers, recreation building, camp store, ice, and laundry are available. There is access to swimming and fishing. There are also handicap accessible sites. Open April - October

Wood Road has a gravel path, parking for 4-6 cars and concrete steps leading down to the water

Exit 41
Right onto Route 125
First left onto Wood Road
The site is on the left
Look for the split rail fence and the bridge

Kinsella Park is the last site on the Cohocton River before it flows into the Chemung. This launch site is within a park with various athletic fields. The site offers a pavilion, picnic tables, grills, outhouses, and services within one mile. You can enjoy the playground, explore the nature trail and watch the river from benches.

Directions from 17/I-86
Exit 44 to Route 15
On Route 15, take the Gang Mills EPIC Park Exit
Then, take the first right onto Canada Road and follow it around a bend to the end

Fishing
The Cohocton River usually contains Smallmouth Bass, Trout and Carp. Many fishers also report catching Walleye in the area.

From Corning area, take US 15 south to SR 417 west to Addison. From Addison, take CR 119 west approx. 10 miles to CR 110 and the launch site.

From Hornell area, take SR 36 south to Canisteo. From Canisteo, take CR 119 east approx. 14 miles to CR 110 and the launch site.

From Bath area, take CR 10 south to Cameron. From Cameron, take CR 119 east approx. 2.5 miles to CR 110 and the launch site.

Just after crossing the bridge, take a right onto a gravel road

Cross over RR tracks and a bridge
Remain to the left of Old Village Hall Memorial Park
Cross over another bridge and look for a left onto Cleveland Drive
On Cleveland, drive past school athletic fields on the left
Look for a gravel path on the left, after the softball field

This site offers a gravel parking area with a gradual slope down to the river. The water is fairly shallow, as the Tuscarora Creek flows into the Canisteo River.

Pinnacle State Park and Golf Course - Enjoy views of the river valley and 11 miles of trails that are perfect for hiking or cross-country skiing. There is also a 9-hole golf course and a pond where fishers can catch bass, bluegill, and bullheads.

This rustic access site offers a dirt slope for launching boats and a peaceful place for fishing.
The next site, River Road, is three miles away along the river.

Points of Interest:
Traveling to this site, you will see the beautiful Centerway Bridge.
The Corning Museum of Glass is only a mile and a half from the launch site. This museum includes the world's most comprehensive glass collection. Enjoy the interactive exhibits and glassblowing demonstrations. You can even purchase tickets to participate in a glass making workshop.
The Rockwell Museum of Western Art is only a mile away from the launch site. Exhibits feature the Myth of the West, wilderness, buffalo, horses, cowboys, Native Americans, and the Southwest. You can also experience traditional southwest Tex-Mex cuisine at the Cantina restaurant.
The Spencer Crest Nature Center is located about four miles from the site. The Center offers seven miles of walking trails and include water features and an apiary.

This site is located in Corning, off of Route 44. This site offers parking for at least six cars, benches, and a stairway down to the river.
